Our desire is to be a church that worships God…not just a church that sings songs. There is a freedom to raise hands, clap and stand for those who desire to, however the focus is on God and not on the manner in which an individual expresses their worship.
Our congregation is a diverse group with people from traditional backgrounds and those who are more contemporary in their preferences. We seek to be a church that celebrates the old (hymns), embraces the praise choruses of today and looks with an open heart to what God might do in the future as it relates to music. We believe God inspired song writers of the past and continues to inspire song writers today to communicate the truths of Jesus’ love, mercy and grace to believers and non-believers. It is our desire to provide a blend of the different styles, so that God can be glorified and people can worship Him.
We also believe that worship is more than just singing and music. We seek to worship God through the following ways on a regular basis.
Preaching- The truths of God’s Word are taught each week in a relevant way that leads to life application.
Music: We offer a mixture of hymns and contemporary music selections that has something for everyone. We have choir practice each Sunday at 3:50 and do two musicals, a patriotic and Christmas.
Giving-The Bible teaches that we are to give back to Him, so that His work can be accomplished. The Bible speaks of a tithe; however each person has the freedom to give more if they so choose.
Prayer- is the life blood of the church. We encourage individual and corporate prayer. We have a church wide prayer chain where emergency and special needs are lifted up as needed.
Service- The Bible teaches that we are to give of our time and talents in the church and outside of the church, so that His work can be accomplished.
Ordinances- We worship God by observing The Lord’s Supper (communion) and Baptism on a regular basis.
Our Worship times are 10:30 on Sunday mornings and 6:00 on Sunday Evenings
